Planning a trip up that way in the summer… wondered if anyone had any decent resources or recommended any MT hiking/trail books?
Feb 5, 2008 at 6:40 pm #1419283I've been into that area a couple of times. The Dennis Nichols' guide 'Trails of the Wild Cabinets' ($14) is what I've used. You can get a map of the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness at the outdoor store in downtown Sandpoint. You might also want to supplement that map with a more detailed 15 minute map of the area where you will be hiking. It's a lovely wilderness. Enjoy!
