I work at a shop that gives me a great deal on an arcteryx dually belay right now and wanted ya'lls very expert opinion on the matter. Arc's site describes the piece as being thermatek insulated, a continuous filament with each filament of insulation being coated with a DWR. The torso and arms have 5.4oz of insulation. Everything sounds very similar to the Das except for the Das having more insulation in the torso. So I can basically get the Arcteryx piece for the same price as a sale Das. Was wondering if anyone has used this or sees why this would be a bad choice for bc skiing in the cascades mid-winter or if there is a better option. Jacket weighs 25oz in medium.

Where do you work that would give you such a deal? Sounds like a steal. The dually is pretty new so I doubt there are that many reviews out there online. The guys at alpinist do seem to love it: http://www.alpinist.com/doc/web07f/ms-ma-arcteryx-dually-belay
Go to Aplinist.com then scroll to the bottom of the page for the reviews. The Dually Belay is currently the last review.
I just want to bump this up again, because I am very curious about the quality and warmth-to-weight ratio of this loft.
Normally I dismiss proprietary synthetics out of hand, but I would be very interested in as water-resistant a synthetic loft as Arc'Teryx & Alpinist claim this to be.
