I recall reading one article on this page mentioning that using a quilt with W/B fabric inside of a bivy would cause the down to get wet due to condensation from body heat. How true is this?
I currently have a Nunatak Arc Alpinist with Pertex Microlight fabric, and was thinking of pairing it with a MLD Superlight bivy.

That combo (Arc Alpinist and Bivy) is golden! (Microlight is not waterproof/breathable.)
A quilt with a Quantum or Microlight shell pairs great with a highly breathable bivy sack like the MLD ones — just don't forget a tarp for primary rain protection.
