Now on every lofting insulation jacket I have I have taken the sleeves off and sewn them back on with a zipper starting at the 4 or 6 position so I can use it as a vest or something with pit zips. I find my body goes really cold below 40 so I am usually wear a lofting piece of insulation and just modify as seen fit.
Just curious, Brett, do you mostly leave the sleeves at home — or bring them along in case you need to zip them on for added warmth?
Bring them along just in case and use them for other things if need be.
