I was wondering what would happen if you used a vapor barrier on the inside of your bag and on the outside also in extreme cold? Thanks

I would call this a two “Vapor Layer” Sleeping Bag.

Well, if the inner one works, the outer one would appear to do nothing except add weight.
On the other hand, if you are doing an emergency bivy, the other one might keep the wind and rain off, like a bivy shell. But that is getting a bit extreme under normal circumstances.
