I was interested in this piece for winter snowshoeing/camping in Wyoming/Montana. Day temps there are usually 20 degrees f although it has been colder (5-10 degrees f) on recent trips. This is the first time I will be doing anything aerobic in these temperatures and am curious if the montane extreme will be a good choice. They recommend no more than a light baselayer with the jacket. For me this would be a icebreaker bodyfit 260 or r1. Any suggestions?

thanks,
john

I don't have one but I second the request for info! Love the concept.

I have one and really love it. The cut is fantastic and it does just what you'd expect of pertex pile. Be warned, however, the insulation is THICK and you don't want to wear this item except in the coldest weather. Anything above freezing and if you try to walk in the thing you will bake to death.
