I'm always on the lookout for fabrics or fabric treatments that I can use many times without washing and without stinking–aren't we all?
I've had great luck with merino wool being odor-resistant, as have most of us! Although, even then, I have one particular Ibex shirt that I wore for 5 weeks (non-continuous) of guiding this past summer and the thing now smells like wet sheep, or something, if I sweat into it at all.
But in general merino's great.
Anyway, I digressed, the bottom line is I got excited when I learned of GoLite's use of Cocona in their new DriMove line that came out, what, last year or something. I finally got a short sleeve DriMove T and took a run in it last night and, rather disappointingly, the thing now smells much like all the other polyester base layers I've ever used.
Anyone had any similar/different experience with Cocona stuff? I might add that the DriMove top is a little LESS stinky than what I would typically expect from a synthetic top . . . but the smell is still undeniable, which means it's unacceptable for me.
