I think I'm not ready to deal with a single wall shelter in the humid, still and often rainy conditions I usually encounter in Virginia. A tarp is also out since the shelter needs to be "spider proof".
So I'm looking for a recommendation for a light but roomy double wall tent. My hiking partner and I are restless sleepers and would rather not be bumping each other all night. We'd also like enough room to be able to change clothes without making the other person curl up in the corner.
Does anyone have any insights about how the roominess, ventilation, stormproofness, livability and durability compare between the Sierra Design's Lightning, MSR Hubba Hubba, or Big Agnes SL3 ? All three seem to weigh about 4 pounds. Is there a better tent I should be considering instead ?
Thanks.
