Just completed ~340 miles of the NCT in the lower peninsula from Croton Dam to Mackinaw City with many weekend section hikes. The trail is lightly used and I saw probably less than 10 backpackers the entire time. I previously completed much of the Arrowhead Re-route (Superior Hiking Trail, Border Route Trail, and Kekekabic Trail) which I highly recommend. Hoping to complete much of the upper peninsula section soon. A route through the Adirondacks was also recently approved.
