Should I get the Rab Flashpoint or the Haglofs Gram Comp Pull I? Both seem to have 777 fabrics and I can have each for about 175$ Is one of them better over the other or are they rather comparable? Thanks, Sven

I have used the Rab Flashpoint on diverse multi-day hikes this year and I absolutely love it. It is VERY breathable. Even when working hard uphill (with a light LS-baselayer underneath) I never felt extremely clammy or uncomfortable. It also has a very nice hood and just one Napoleon-style pocket + even after extensive use it still looks like the day I bought it. I have no experience with the Haglöfs BUT the Flashpoint has a full zipper. To me that's an advantage, but that's pretty personal. All in all, I really love the Flashpoint.

I picked one up recently due to the glowing reviews posted here- my large weighs 6.7 oz, that's pretty svelte for a 3 layer rain jacket (it's pretty light for a 2 or 2.5 layer rain jacket!). I've only worn it a couple of time thus far, but I like it. Unless I'm saving a ton of weight, I also prefer a full zip to a pullover. Took me several months to find the Flashpoint on sale (or at least the sale price I wanted to pay), appears to be worth the wait.

Billy, don’t forget Sven is in Europe. The cheapest I’ve seen the Flashpoint is the equivalent of $185 here if you have a friend in the UK who can post it out to you.
