Coghlans fuel tablets

Not a bad price, I have purchased them on ebay for a little less than $3 a pack in quantity, free shipping and no tax. If you are at Walmart anyway obviously this is a better price though.

I hesitated a day before ordering from Walmart and did one last check from my usual source. Kittery Trading Post is offering free shipping along with their usual great price at $2.19 a box (no tax). Coghlans Fuel Tablets

As soon as I read Don's post, I went to the Kittery web site to buy 10 boxes. They said there was just one box left. No idea if they will restock, so I guess I'll just hit my local Wal-mart instead.

More than once I've purchased all they had. If I knowingly did it again I certainly wouldn't have posted the information. They seem to keep a very limited stock. Many times when I check they only have a few boxes which doesn't make the price "super great." Maybe if enough of us Coughlan Tablet users email them they'll stock more. Then again maybe they'll charge more……

I contacted Kittery about the Coghlan tablets and their stocking procedure and received the message below. If the current price was the same I suppose it would be worth it for an individual to "Special Order/Back Order." Of course we know that the kind of "club" we have isn't conducive to what Barbara suggests. The shipping cost would probably make it too expensive for someone to do a bulk order and then redistribute to members who want them. I emailed the company last weekend after reading this thread, after finding that they were out of stock on the item. I got a similar email back from Barbara, and just phoned her back a few minutes ago. She was happy to back order just 2 packs for me, extending the free shipping offer, and she will contact me when they come in and get my credit card info at that time. It's a family owned company, and she was VERY nice and friendly on the phone.

I appreciate your posting about the backorder opportunity for the Coghlan's tablets through Kittery. My local Wal-Mart was sold out, and I figured I was out of luck. I called Barbara's Kittery phone number just now, and a man named Steven took the call. He was extremely nice to talk with, and he took my order of 10 boxes–$2.19/24 pack, with free shipping. He indicated that they would wait a short while, then place an order for all of us BPLers that requested some of these tablets. He expected a wait of maybe 3-4 weeks for us to receive our orders, and they will contact us for credit card info when they have them ready to send. The packages will likely be shipped via UPS, since the tablets are considered haz-mat. So they won't make a lot on these sales, and I consider his to be a special effort that they are making for BPL members. It might be a good idea to place your phone order soon, in order to get in on the first round. Once again, Kittery's customer service # is 888-739-9036. Edit–To be clear, each of us that places an order will receive just what we ordered. This is not a group order where somebody has to then re-distribute to the other BPL people. We will all be contacted individually by Kittery to provide our own payment info.
