I lost my favorite REI running hat, and I'm looking for a replacement: nylon, ultralight with a generous bill that will work well with the hood of my rainjacket. Thoughts?

The OR Sunrunner cap is great. I haven't found a better sun hat. The OR swift is similar but without the cape, and is a great hat for hiking and running. http://www.outdoorresearch.com/en/mens/hats.html?cat=2232 The UD Desert hat with neck cape is lighter than the sunrunner, the brim may be a bit longer, but the cape is not as good at sun protection on the neck/sides of face and it blows around quite a bit in the wind. It does tuck away easier though. http://www.ultimatedirection.com/p-639-desert-hat.aspx?category=brandwear

I like the OR Sunrunner cap as well. Especially if you want a good protection in the back and sides. It's a bit warmer than some other options, so for me (lot of very hot humid times) I more often end up with something a bit lighter (at the cost of some protection on the side). One of the lighter ones with still a good bill and generous back/neck flap is the Salomon XA + CAP II (60gr. in XL, 44gr. cap only).
