I am looking for recommendations for a 3 day backpacking excursion in the Pisgah National forest. My buddy and I do one once a year and this year we are going to shoot for two hikes this year! We are pretty experienced hikers and are looking for a some what challenging hike. Would love one that has great views as well as good water holes. We have done wilson creek area and linville gorge loop which was right up our ally. Looking to do one like linville gorge again if possible. What are yalls recommendation? I have put together a loop in the Shinning rock wilderness starting with Bigeast fork to Grassy cove gap onto the art leob trail and then back down. I don't really know the milage on this one.
