How do you all feel about left/right fit with socks? As much as I love my darn toughs, my icebreaker left/right fit socks just fit better. Less bunching up and no loose material around the toes because they fit the contour between my big toe and little toe.

I have not tried them, but it makes sense that they fit better. Probably depends on the contour . My best socks are the ones I knitted myself; they fit like a glove ;)
Fit better but not much different from well-fitting non-L/R socks. All things being equal, I'd choose them but it comes low down the list of priorities. But I'm not prone to blisters; they might be more important to somebody who is. They're harder to put on in the dark.
I'm also a fan of the icebreakers… makes a surprising difference in how they fit my feet, I always feel symmetrical socks don't quite give my big toe enough room and also bunch a bit around my third toe. Injinji also good as the next extreme, but they're really hard to put on in the dark :P and haven't been as durable for me as IB
I'm quite happy with the fit of a few pairs of Keen L/R socks I have. But there are too many other factors that come into play. If I could find L/R socks thin enough to use as liners, or thick wool L/R socks, or InsectShield L/R socks, I'd be much more likely to wear them regularly. As it is, the ones I own are pretty much relegated to non-hiking use.
nm.
Why would you want insect shield socks? For ticks?
I have some L/R cycling socks by Cannondale that fit great, but they're synthetic so screw 'em. Lately I've been rocking symmetrical wool socks by Pearl Izumi that fit reasonably well, last a while, and are wool.
"Why would you want insect shield socks? For ticks?" Yes. Makes a huge huge difference in Southern Indiana. Helps a bit against chiggers as well.
