I'm a 50-something semi-retired engineer and author. I've camped, hiked, climbed, and biked all of my life. We relocated to New Mexico two years ago and I've done a dozen shorter backpacks in the southern Rockies. I'm interested in walking the Colorado Trail in sections over the next few years. My wife will do a bit of it with me. And I might do a bit solo. But it's good for safety and logistics to have a like-minded partner. I am very experienced, but not a particularly strong walker. I do go light (base pack weight under 20 pounds), but about 10 miles/day is my current comfort range. And trips of 3-5 days are probably all I'd want to tackle at the start. Also know that I am a quiet person, looking for a partner or two I can trust, with similar goals and personalities. My schedule is generally very flexible. If this sounds like a possible fit for you, send me a PM from my profile page and we can discuss details!
