This is a quick overnighter we took this weekend. My daughter is 9 and asked me recently while watching some old videos of when she was 3-6 years old, “why I didn’t video anymore?” I really didn’t have an answer so I told her I would start videoing our trips again. Nothing spectacular. No great views or huge miles. Just fun with my family. I hope you enjoy. I enjoy all the trip reports and always enjoy the occasional family trip. Pisgah Trip

I am assuming this is in the Shining Rock area? There are several Pisgah NF districts: Grandfather Mt district, Pisgah Ranger district, and the Appalachian Ranger district. My neck of the woods for extensive backpacking has been in the Grandfather district and the Mountains to Sea trail from Linville Gorge east to Steels Creek, Greentown, Upper Creek, Harper and North Harper, Lost Cove Creek and Gragg Prong etc. I notice at minute 1:00 to 1:07 there seems to be a road cut across a mountain side? Did you hear any motorcycles during your trip? Thanks for the vid.

Not 100% sure that was a road, but we were near the BGP. We didn't hear any road traffic, but we saw a lot of them coming and going. We were near the Shining Rock Wilderness, but not quite in it.
