I recently completed a 4 day hike of the Ruby Crest Trail in Nevada with my granddaughter. Among our food items was an instant yogurt from Mt. Capra Products, Chehalis WA. Some of you may be familiar with the company for its goat whey protein. We packed in their product, "Yo-Quick." It comes individually packaged in 29 gram packets. Flavored in either strawberry, vanilla, or blueberry. The fruit is freeze dried. Calories per packet = 110. No added sugar. This is my first ever post, anywhere. I really liked the yogurt. Good texture, smooth and easily mixes with 5 tablespoons of water. Mixed it and ate from the package. I did suggest to Mt. Capra that with a slightly larger packet it could be marketed to the backpacking community as a mix in the packet product. No measuring spoon were taken along, I just added water and stirred to the desired consistency. Mt. Capra is a Goat Milk Yogurt and there is no escaping the difference between cows milk and goat milk. I think it's delicious. If you like goat yogurt, and you want a nutritional light weight addition to your pack, check this out.
