I just received my Locus Gear Hapi cuben mid. I also have a MLD solo innernet that works with it but duo innernets won't work because the door of the mid is on the short side so I've decided to make my own duo innernet out of cuben fiber. I'll use this if I take one of my kids with me. I have reasonable sewing skills but was thinking of using double sided cuben tape for the seams of the bath tub. I will see the mesh to the bath tub though. Do you think taping the bath tub instead of sewing it will work well in terms of strength and waterproofing? Also, has anyone heard any updates on the cuben fiber supply? It seems like a lot of vendors are low or have limited options. I really want to use the .74 CF in spruce green that zpacks sells. I sent an email asking when they'll receive more but no response. Thanks

The tape will work fine and be the most waterproof. No difference in durability compared to sewn for your purposes. Ryan
Except in peel, taping is stronger than sewing, so it's a better choice. As to supply, Dutch just got his long awaited shipment of cuben, so others may be getting it, too. For a tent floor, tyvek resists abrasion better (though heavier).
