Anybody interested in a late October/early November Catskills backpack? I'd like to do the classic loop around the East Branch of the Neversink watershed. Plan would be to drive up Friday night, hike into Table Mountain shelter, hit Table Mountain and Peekamoose early on Saturday and then bushwhack across Lone, Rocky, Balsam Cap, Friday to Cornell. Then either camp at 3500 ft line and hit Slide on Sunday morning and hike out via Curtis Ormsbee, or do it all in one long day if we make good progress. 11/6 – 11/8 looks like a good weekend for me. About me: Male, 39 years old. Keen cyclist and backpacker. Like to go in any weather — worse the better, frankly.

On a map that looks like fun, but I'm too old for that sort of thing now. Here's a trip report (not mine) on part of it by Another Kevin, who is on Whiteblaze http://dftscript.blogspot.com/2014/07/lone-rocky-and-balsam-cap-2014-07-1921.html
Possibly possibly. I am planning on the Devils Path October 14-16. Early november..on a Friday to Sunday is very possible for me. I would love to do that (what u have planned). Email me, dirtbaghiker@yahoo.com so we can stay in touch as it gets closer. I too, am 39 male, (Long Island) and I have recently decided to do the Catskill 3500, so this is what I'm looking for, also someone to do it with! …Joe
While I can't get up there on a Friday, I'm interested in working through the 3500. Be great to have a bpl group to tag some of the summits. Pete
I'd like to do the 3500, too. This'll be a good way to knock off a couple of trail-less summits. Joe – I'll drop you an email later. I'd be up for doing the Devil's Path, too, but can't the weekend of 10/15 as it's my wife's birthday.
