That picture is looking east towards Road's End area of SEKI…..the Rough Fire I believe.

Hume lake is in Kings Canyon National Park, a few miles off the main hwy to roads end.
This area has so much under growth and fallen trees that they will be hard pressed to get containment, there hasn't been any major fires in that area for at least 30-40 years, maybe more, I've been going up to that area since I was a kid and I don't remember anything quite this big.
