A recent trip had a potential for night time temperatures ranging from 50F to 30F. I took a 14 ounce Montbell #5 that I had turned into a hoodless quilt, a RAB Xenon, and a UL PacLite jacket as my sleep system.
I added a self-mating hook/loop strip to the bag to capture the Xenon's hang loop, and used the hem adjusters on the Xenon to capture gathered fabric at each shoulder of the bag.

Then I slid the PacLite jacket over the quilt's foot box and captured it's front-mounted hem adjusters with the same piece of Velcro.
.
I pulled both jacket's arms into the space above the quilt to add a little more dead-air space.
On Night Two I had temperatures hovering at 32F for most of the night. Everything stayed in place as I rotated through the night. I was toasty.
