First off, I LOVE the spork! It's super light and when folded is compact enough to fit inside the smallest pot or mug (I'm using mine inside the Firelight 550 pot). Also, it's ery ergonomic and I like the way the tines are cut wide for easy cleaning. Overall, the workmanship is A+
Likewise, the Evernew bladder made my A-list. I've always been a huge fan of Platypus bottles so I was happy to see that the material on the Evernew looks to be the same. It's a little heavier, but, there are a couple of added features that justify the weight. I really like the cap keeper to avoid haing to put the cap on the ground while filling the bottle. Also, There is a shock cord that allows you to keep the bottle rolled up tight when empty for compact packing.
Some of you might be wondering if you can add a similar shock cord to your Platypus. The answer is yes. I just looked at my 1 liter Platy to see if there's a lip under the cap to attach a shock cord and there is. So, if you already have one and want to add a retaining cord to yours, you can.
Overall, I was also very happy with the value of both. The prices were actually less than I would expect to pay (especially for the spork). Isn't it nice when you take a risk on new products, like them, and then feel that you got a good deal? :)
P.S. I forgot to mention that the cord on the Evernew bottle was a little long and I had to cut it down about 1" to make it cinch up tight.
