Sweeping the Garden: Upper Kern Basin

Wow….I want to keep reading and re-reading!
Powerful writing coming from such a deep place within you.
Extremely moving – I want to be there NOW!
So glad you're well enough again to be able to what you so love.

I was there, and still I was deeply moved when I read Craig's account. It is very seldom that I have had the good fortune to walk with someone whose backpacking style and sensibility mesh so seamlessly with my own. This was one of those occasions, and I shall savor it long after I have hung up my pack for the last time. Thanks again, Craig, for being you and being there. I've said the rest elsewhere, so I'll leave it at that.
Glad you were able to get back out there, and with two fine backpacking companions to boot. The Kern Basin is most certainly a special place, made all the more special when you share it with special people.
Thanks for sharing the adventure with us.
"We speak of going into the wilderness to get a sense of perspective and renewal; this season I found I truly needed it. . .Perhaps these mountains reflect something inside of us and renewal is given in proportion to what is needed".
I always enjoy your thoughtful writing. I have found similar renewal and perspective in some of those same basins. Saying that I am glad that you are healthy enough to get back to the High Sierra would be an understatement. Thank you.
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing your journey as well as your trip, Craig. Glad you were able to get back out to such a special place.
Great writing man!
Super happy you got back there :)
Excellent.
