Anyone have an idea how the cabin fire in the golden trout wilderness is affecting the High sierra trail? http://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/4423/

I'm guessing that smoke might be visible and a smell in the air? I've never hiked near a forest fire, anything I should expect or consider?
I'm curious, too. I'm supposed to leave in 5 days for big SEKI loop. Fires are getting me concerned. :(
