hi, i have a tarp and a tyvek groundcloth. i also have a lot of insect netting. i was thinking that i could duct tape the netting to the two, to create a really ghetto net tent, but it isn't really working out. the tape isn't sticking to the tarp or the insect netting.
can i use glue? seam sealer? any suggestions?
For decent results you need to sew it or have someone do it for you.
If it's big enough, the simplest solution is to just use it like a bed sheet and lay it on top of your bag, pulling it up over your head. To hold it up off your face you can either poke a string thru it (which will put a hole in it) or put a small pebble on it and tie the string around that. Tuck the edges under your sleeping pad if you like.
