I got a Trangia 28T alcohol stove/pot kit the other day and the light bulb went on. I got out a Snowpeak titanium bowl and the handle form the 28T fits perfectly. The handle weighs 0.6oz and the bowl is 1.8oz, for a 2.4oz kit. Add some turkey roaster foil for a lid. You can get the Trangia handles on Amazon for about $7.

Dave,

Id been meaning to try that..Last time I checked ,Liberty Mt was out of the Mini handles and I'd let it slip my mind since.

Nice to know it's a good fit on that Snow peak trek. My Mini kit of three years ago had a slighty different handle.

The top jaw on your version has that rounded curl in the front. Mine was straight. I do rember my handle scarred up the fairly soft Aluminium Trangia pot and scuffed the inside during storage. So much so that I thought a peice of silicone tubing on the jaws was needed.

Maybe the new curled configuration cures that?

"Maybe the new curled configuration cures that?"

More a straight bend than a curl, but yeah, it doesn't dig into the side of the pot at all.

I had tried more traditional aluminum pot holders, but they would scar thr bowl, not to mention weighing nearly as much as the bowl itself.

You can drill the sides and add a wire bail, but I like the handle option.

Great solution, Dale.

I really love that pot gripper. It fits inside my1L ti Sidewinder set perfectly.

I thought I lost it years ago but recently found it…Whew!

Great find Dale!

I have a Ti Snowpeak bowl, I'll have to order one of those handles.

Thanks for posting

The Trangia Mini kit is a cheap, easy and fantastic bit of gear. I'd recommend anyone to get one to try.

The handle works on my Toaks 650ml lite cup and would on most anything with a lip I'd imagine.
