I know this has been done but perhaps just not to death, not yet…

I am the very lucky recipient of an HMG Ultamid 2 for my birthday, an indulgence for sure. And I have to say that at 6'3 its a mid I think I'll finally keep & end all tent anxiety for a good while.
Except… I want an inner net for it, a half-inner please: wide inverted T door, no snaking into bed, as tall as my mid & 1/2 as wide & long.
my options from the usual suspects are:
1) HMG – rumors of a half inner in the works for their ultamids are confirmed & sure to fit perfectly but just not until 2016.
2. MLD – Solo XL – OK size ( would prefer more height & width… ) but then the usual 6 weeks to get (summer over…)
3) Serenity net tent – great price, available right now but looks & specs awfully small, narrow, tight etc.
4) BearPaw – heard both good and not so good things here on BPL about their quality control, so on the fence but likely a shorter turnaround than MLD.
5) Oookworks – once upon a time maybe but no more
6) Z packs – hexanet. Light, again concern about size although on paper seems ok. But one tall folk review doesn't agree. Also long wait list for delivery.
7) HMG – inter-mesh, no floor, available now. and this would suit me just fine except i'm here in the the North East & a friend got lyme disease and so I am thinking about ticks. Not bugs mind you, I grew up in Texas picking big ole ticks off my dog and myself all summer long…just little teeny lymish deer ticks have me phobic; but open to be convinced otherwise. maybe a bathtub floor with permethrin along the sides & anti-tick runes scribbled about.

Other ideas? Thanks!

I'd wait for the purpose-built HMG inner net.

I have a MLD Duomid that use a Zpacks hexanet bug liner in. While it fits pretty well, and I like the weight and space, it did take some modification to make fit correctly (it was too tall for the inside of the Duo) and the results are not as clean and taught as I would find optimal. If I had it to do over again, I might have opted for the MLD Solo liner. So I guess my point is, putting the purpose-built bits together will most likely result in the best fit and performance. Even if it means you have to wait a bit.
