Hey All

I'm considering a loop in the Wind River Range at the end of August. Looking to do ~15 miles a day over the course of 4 days.

Does anybody have a gpx or suggested route that would allow me to end up back at my car while achieving my goals?

Thanks!

Chris,

Here are two trips that would probably meet your requirements.

Note the bogus straight line segment which was recorded when I neglected to turn on the GPS before starting the walk one morning. The tracks include day hikes from camp. The trail head is located at Worthen Meadows in the SE portion of the mountains. We hiked clockwise.

This route has more in-your-face constant scenery. We did this counter-clockwise. It utilizes in part an abandoned trail (at about the 7 o'clock position) which was very easy to follow but did involve navigating around some downed trees. This route starts and ends at Elkhart Park near Pinedale.

The day hikes on both routes are mostly off-trail. It may not be obvious which tracks are off-trail without taking a close look by zooming in.
