The first link with the white pack is the easiest to understand (mainly because I can see the added external frame added on!!

I've made a mesh back panel pack with carbon fiber strips from scratch before and I think it would be difficult for a DIY'er to add this to an existing, fully assembled pack. I'd either DIY a pack from scratch:

OR

See if Zpacks would add those features. All it takes is an email and all they can say is "no".

I'm not saying it can't be done, just not something I would take on myself.

I am only specifically wanting a mesh back alteration not to actually build an entire pack at this stage. :-)

Before you spend time and money creating a franken-pack that is of questionable value to others, you might consider just selling your pack, and buying what you really want.

You obviously dont want the pack you have.

Good point, I will have to weigh up the difference in the possible cost difference between selling mine and buying Zpacks and ordering the Zpacks frame system.
