Okay, so here is the situation. 3 friends and I were planning on doing a very long day hike in San Gorgornio but unfortunately, a local fire has closed down the entire San Gorgornio Wilderness. I need some ideas to replace this trip with another. Here are some parameters.
-Our original hike was 29 miles long with about ~6500 ft of elevation gain, so somewhere similar to that.
-Less than 2.5 hours drive from Orange County
I am thinking somewhere in the Angeles National Forest? But I'm not too familiar with it.
Any suggestions??
