Anyone tried any of these for something like backpacking? In the heat? I've found several brands, but I'm not sure how they perform outside of water.

I'm not a huge fan of pants on my legs (too much fabric), but I don't really mind tights. Trying to consider alternatives to carrying sunscreen. Everything my legs is pretty easy to counter.

Thanks in advance!

I defer to the BPL fabric experts, but any wool or poly fabric has decent UV protection. Hard part would be to not be too hot in tights.

White Cap 1 tights might do the trick. Youd see the dirt really quickly, but may be an option. As long as the UV tights aren't overly warm, they should do the trick.

I use Pearl Izumi Men's Sun Knees mountain biking to keep the knees covered. seem to work well with a lot of sweat, so probably fine swimming. I use the white ones, they get dirty fast.
