I'm looking for a bi-component wind jacket to use during cold weather during high exertion. Desired features include
1) a wind-proof or highly wind resistant, highly breathable shell
2) a wicking lining that is comfortable to wear next to the skin
3) a hood and full zip, half zip might work if it is very breathable or has other venting options, pit zips a plus
4)as light a weight as possible while fulfilling the other requirements
Rab's Vapour Rise Jacket and Buffalo's Fell Jacket or Tech-Lite Jacket look like they might fit the bill. However, they are a bit heavy and a bit expensive. I also can't find anywhere to see them first hand before I buy. Marmots Driclime windshirt or jacket looks like it might work except that it doesn't have a hood. I also thought of trying something like Mountain Hardwear's Trasistion long sleeve Tee or marmots Evolution pullover, but I am worried that they won't be breathable enough with the Windstopper membrane.
Does anyone know of other products that might fit the bill or have experience with any of these products?
