I've been looking for a pair of light waterproof gloves (preference for gloves not mitts) – either with no lining (and room for light layering underneath) or with a very light lining.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Komperdell just came out with new gloves that are seamless and are supposed to be 100% waterproof and breathable (no idea how breathable or what the material is made of). I wrote to Komperdell USA (which had the wrong email listed so had to go through Austria) and got weights of all the waterproof gloves – still waiting to hear for which size gloves the weights are for and if the weight is per glove or per pair (I think per glove). Will post as soon as I get the final answer. My guess is that they will be great for x country skiing and snowshoeing, good for late fall and early spring, but too warm for milder weather.

I also came across SealSkinz Waterproof gloves. Anyone use these? How much do they weigh? How do they perform? Are they very warm? REI reviews seems to indicate that they work well at first but don't hold up after a few uses.
