Does such an animal exist and still weigh under 5 oz?
I feel like I generate a ton of heat most of the time, so even with a windshirt I feel like I could be more comfortable over a wider range of conditions if I could ventilate more.
Suggestions? I would like a hood as well. A XXL size would be even better for layering ;)
It doesn't that I know of but it could. My DIAD weighs 6.1oz with some mods and I bet that's 2oz/yd fabric. With 1oz/yd fabric you could do it under 5oz.
Can you sew? Thru-hiker's pattern could be modded to put in pit zips and a hood.
I wonder why you ask the question? But I suppose it depends on the windshirt, I use a Montane Lightspeed with a full zip so if I need to, I unzip the front.
I have never felt too hot in a windshirt, I take it off before I get that hot.
