I'm looking for a good suggestion for a hike and wanted to see what you all might recommend. Most votes will be the one I do. Below are my requirements
* Solo hike – can't usually find people willing to go along
* I prefer above the treeline – rocky destinations (like white mountains in New Hampshire)
* About 3-4 days
* East coast of US or Colorado
* Comfortable doing 20 miles a day so looking at 60-80 miles total depending upon terrain
* Loops are preferred
Suggestions?
The Great Range in the Adirondack High Peaks might be a good starting point. The high peaks have an extensive trail network that you could easily turn into high mileage loop. Maps are readily available online, if you don't already know the area.
