Looking for the best combination of durability and light weight convertible/amphi pants for 3 season use. With or without built in mesh. Thanks!!

I have a pair of Mountain Hardware convertable nylon pants that I absolutely love. They are just about the most comfortable pants I have ever worn. They are a bit heavy for UL or SUL, a bit slow drying and fairly pricey ($100) but the comfort and function more than make up for it IMHO. I recommend them. I also have some REI Sahara pants that are much lighter, but they are probably too thin for three season.

The combination of Ex Officio boxer briefs (3.1oz) and Ex Officio convertible pants (13oz) brings me to 1 pound. I'm hoping to carve a few ounces off of that number. I live in the south, so for my basic three season use I prefer something on the thin side.
