Bush Buddy Ultra Wood Stove Review

Great timing Jason. I'm working on an MYOG version of the BB Ultra and have a few "burning" questions:

What is the clearance between walls?

Is the wire floor of the fuel chamber raised or flush with the bottom edge of the inner wall?

What is the clearance of the wire floor and the outer floor?

Do all the inner wall air ports show flame patterns at the same time or does this appear to shift and become dependent on how the fuel source is burning?

I'd really like to get a clear, full view of the chimney design. Inner and outer views.

Maybe show flame patterns with varying amounts of fuel.

And, if you have a pot you don't mind scrubbing, I'd like to see how much soot is generated and weather the proposed efficiency of the BB Ultra reduces that.

Are you going to test boil times and fuel consumption rates between the J.Falk and the BB Ultra? I cut up construction grade birch and doug fir boards for fuel test consistency. You might try that. And since you have the J.Falk, try swapping chimenys for best results.

Also if it fits into the scope of your video maybe you could mention the low impact practice of using only dead and downed wood.

I used to use a zip stove and loved it… except for the weight. I found that charcoal from other peoples campsites worked as good fuel. I wonder if coals would work well in the Bush Buddy. I miss my wood stove and might want to toggle between wood and alcohol stoves.
