I'm putting together a wish list and am debating options and looking for feedback. I'm thinking of a quilt, a heavier jacket or insulating pants. I'm hoping to continue hiking/camping in my first winter in new england. I'm expecting to do overnights with low mileage hikes around them. I am not really interested in going out when it's below 0F. I would like to put together a system that gets me to 10F or so but I wouldn't mind options to go lower in a pinch.

Sleep system:I've got a hennessy hammock with an oware pad and an insulmat with a combined R value of 4.39. A synthetic 2lb 5oz bag used as a quilt with a claimed 30F temp. I'm a little skeptical of this claim.

Clothing:
Thermawrap jacket, houdini, fleece pants balaclava and various tops, merino base layers. precip and golite reed shell. keen EVent boots.

Pack: vapor trail. kind of small for how much fleece I'll need to stay warm. Summer base weight is around 14lb, probably 17-19 in the winter I'm guessing.

Options I've considered so far:
thermawrap pants
down vest/jacket
JacksRBetter quilt
heavier/additional pad (another oware?)

I doubt anyone would spring for the quilt, so mostly I'm looking for clothing recommendations. I'm open to any advice.

Ask for money and buy exactly what you want. It will probably be cheaper after Christmas anyway.
