Some people may not know about google doing math and unit conversions right in the main google search tool.
It does things like convert grams to ounces, basic math etc.
The format is like:
15 g = ? oz
Then hit enter.
I recently used it to do a bit more:
133 g/m^2 = ? oz/yd^2
(yes they were different brands of insulation and yes that matters)
Or if you use firefox, the
google search box works and does not require you to hit enter, instead prompting you with the answer at each step..

Yep, I use Google all the time. It will also give you the definition of any big words people use in posts that you aren't sure of. Ex: typing
define: backpacking
would bring up a list of definitions of the term backpacking.
An alternate method that I use for converting units with Google is the form:
16 oz in lbs
It tells you how many pounds are in 16 ounces. You do have to make sure you are using ounces in weight, not volume as Google cannot make the distinction. It assumes if you are trying to convert ounces to liters then you took your measurement in volumetric ounces. Same goes for weights.

fyi… if you install google desktop (I run it in stealth mode) you can double tap crtl and type in:
3.0 oz per yd^2 to g per m^2
and get
3.0 (oz per (yd^2)) = 101.717242 g per (m^2)
in a new FF window
