I submitted my permit for the Wonderland Trail the day they started accepting them. As you probably know, they hit record breaking entries and are no longer accepting, and are turning some away. Does anyone remember who submitted in a previous year if they charged their credit card or not early on in the process? No charge yet on my card, I'm getting worried I'm one of the unlucky few.

I could not have said it better myself. I have been thinking and doing the same thing. I requested a late August permit, maybe they are going by date request. I do not know if you get an email denial or acceptance letter. I know the Grand Canyon and Yosemite send emails and charge the credit card.

Sorry to hear that. I'm having a feeling I'm going to be in the same boat and will have to rely on a walk-up permit. Asked for literally the same time frame. We will see!
When did yours come in?
got my notice last over a week ago… but I refused the road-side camps so that may have been my undoing…

Any updates on permits? I have not heard anything from the backcountry office.
I haven't heard yet. But my requested dates are in Sept. so I figure maybe they get to those later.

I was denied completely. Looks like I'll be rollin' the dice.
On to backup plan. TRT

They hand-addressed the envelope! No wonder it took awhile.
