I've never seen this jacket offered by Patagonia before. It seems to be a military specific design from Patagonia using Polartec alpha insulation. I'm very curious to see how this compares to their own nano air jacket.

Not exactly ultralight at 16oz but looks to be a very functional piece. Styling wise looks better than the Nano Air too.

I'm ordering one out of curiosity and it seems like a good deal. Has anyone else had experience with this jacket before?

I want to love this jacket and the discount is very attractive but it's still 16oz. I don't count every gram/ounce but I'd get loads more warmth from a down offering. I guess it all depends on your usage/geographic region.

I spoke with Patagonia, they said it was made exclusively for law enforcement and military. It's made in the USA. Awesome jacket for the price, IMO and SUPER low key.

Will probably be my daily wear instead of the technical garments I have. I love that it's made in the US and doesn't have any branding except the inside tag.
