Is Trimble Outdoors the best option for route planning online?

My subscription for Trimble outdoors is about to expire. I am wondering if there is a better option out there for route planning. I like the site but find the maps to be a little outdated. I use the service mostly to plan weekend trips and day hikes that I will upload to my Suunto Ambit3 and then print out the maps to carry.

The features that I am looking for are..

Upload and export .gpx tracks and alter them
Draw new tracks on a map
add waypoints and/or POI
Print out maps

For use on a computer though if it can also be combined with an App that would be all the better.

Do any of you Tech savvy hikers have input on this subject? Does anyone know what kind of software do people like Bearcreek, Ley and Halfmile use?

Thank you very much.

CalTopo.com has been my go-to service. I haven’t tried altering uploaded GPX tracks though, so I’m not sure what its capabilities are there, but it’s worth checking out. It has tons of great trip planning features (quick access to NOAA point forecasts, sun exposure analysis, and all sorts of other goodies) and there are a bunch of different maps available.

Thank you Mitchell, This looks like a promising site. It seems like it is capable of everything I want.

Interestingly, I just received a text from a guy that I am planning a trip with. He asked me if I have used this very site. Seems likely to be the thing that I am looking for.
