Sometimes one carbon fiber tube will fit perfectly within another one. Then there needs to be some type of adhesive to fix them together. What kind of adhesive works best?

Standard two part epoxy from Permatex or Gorilla brand works great and is cheap, or if you want to go all out 3M DP420.

I have some standard two part epoxy.

I didn't know if there was something super tricky about carbon fiber.

As with painting, surface prep is important

Rough up the contact points with sone 100 grit sandpaper then fully degrease with denatured alcohol ,laquer thinner etc

Good 5 minute two part epoxy will work fine. Gorilla glue should as well.

I have used 2-part Araldite, 2-part brand-X epoxy, super glue and Loctite Black Max.
All worked fine. No surface prep at all, apart from a vague wipe with a paper towel.

Cheers

Even good CA works if the two pieces are a good tight fit. And, you can disassemble them later with acetone!
