Destined to be a new classic, the EGO A01 – 18 Multitools:

$19.99, 228 grams.

Or maybe not.

Or an old classic, actually named "Classic":

SAK Classic

$3.60 each (on eBay, in lots of 5, from TSA seizures), 21 grams.

Cause, well, 21 is less than 228.

A copy of the real thing anyway. Even the same color. While often buying imports produced by exploited cheap labor when given no choice,in this case I do have a choice. I bought my knife from a guy who lives in the next state over. I'm pretty sure the money goes directly to take care of his family with a few fishing trips thrown in. I prefer supporting the cottage industries over some unknown factory. But maybe that's just me.

I'm not sure if you have found your target audience with this gadget May. Many of the people reading this site don't carry ANY knife blade simply because they don't need one and tend to go with the lighter weight option when they have an option.

Every once in awhile, when we find an opportunity to replace something we carry already with an updated design that performs the same functions but while taking up significantly less weight, that is more likely to be a successful offering on this site, especially if it is an affordable option, for example the stove that has been selling so well recently, there are clearly members here who appreciate the offer being extended and your direct representation from gearbest.

May, if you look at the "gear list" sections of this forum and see what people carry in their backpacks, maybe you would find other ideas for successful product offerings to this site.

Terran: Did you buy a ti knife from the ebay seller whose small business exploded on this forum? Or different maker? 3oz of small ti blade for $30 or something crazy?

I was lucky enough to get one of Greg's knives a few months back. He is a retired kindergarden teacher and I get a feeling that he would rather concentrate on family than making knives. I would rather support this mindset, than the vast industrial complexes that depend on cheap exploited labor while producing inferior goods. Stuff that is maybe almost good enough and ends up in the bottom of a drawer unused.
The Flyweight knives are much more suitable for our needs. Simple and light. Titanium does not hold an edge like steel. I can't shave with it. It's not razor sharp. According to Greg's description, by using two metals on the blade that wear at different rates, you end up with a serrated blade of sorts. I don't know. Makes sense. It works. Cuts cord. I cut some carbon tent poles with it. A little slow and maybe a bit more effort to make the cut, but it does get the job done at the absolute lowest weight. As often as I use a knife, which is actually very little, it's perfect.
