I have a new iphone coming (joining the 21st century!) and was perusing small chargers and came upon the BD Ember, pretty decent flashlight w/ 2600 mAh capacity and 3.4 oz – the other ones I was looking at were the Anker Mini and the Jackery Mini both 3200 mAh and a wee bit lighter (3.0 and 2.7 oz), but no flashlight
not sure if it's gimmicky or really works????

I have the Anker Astro Mini 3200mAh charger. It charges my Galaxy S4 mini 1.5 times. Works great. Get a wall charger from them at the same time. Their website has a lot of info on the different models they sell.
I have a number of the Jackery chargers, including the mini, and have been very happy with them all.
ask them what brand battery they use on the inside … if its panasonic, sony, LG, samsung … then yr golden
just remember youll lose ~20%+ of that 2600 mAh when charging due to transfer loss

sounds like I can't go wrong w/ either the Anker or Jackery, just like the idea of having a light as a bonus :)

update this old thread- I purchased an Ember Light last year and am very happy with the little light
it charges up a completely drained iphone 6 with still a little juice left over; it’s not a fast charge- about 2.5 hours for a complete charge (the unit itself needs a little over 7 hours to fully charge itself)
the flashlight is great- 150 lumens with a dimmable switch (touch switch), does a great job supplementing my headlamp and would be quite capable on it’s own
there are lighter (slightly) chargers in that range (2600 mAhours), but none that does double duty like this light/charger does
