I've just moved to NY from NC. Typically I do most of my hiking in the fall and winter in gore-tex runners and very rarely overboots, but it's obviously lots colder here.
What types of boots are any of you out there from this region using for hiking and snowshoeing? And what do you like or not about them?
The Finger Lakes Trail is very close to me, and it's likely where I'll do my first few trips this winter, but I'd like to get out to the Adirondacks this winter and up to the Presidentials, Whites, etc over the next few years as I have time to expore the region and exhaust the closer trails.
Thanks
