We did the 14 mile round trip over Ross Dam along Ross Lake and up to Big Beaver on Saturday. Amazingly little snow. And great weather!

probably just missed you, we hiked into Cougar Island (or thought we could. who forgot the pack rafts?…), ended up camping on a little bump by the water (the water we couldn't cross, haha). You are right- perfect weather. Not often do you get away with no shelter in March around here.
