In the past 2 days I bought a Seedhouse SL2 tent, a Montbell UL Inner Down Jacket, new Superfeet, and a new headlamp. A hefty chunk of change for a grad student. Given they were all on sale or an otherwise good deal, I'm still freakin' out! I did my homework on the expensive stuff for a long time before deciding what I wanted. It's just that today all the pieces fell together and I finally clicked "confirm purchase." Someone please justify these purchases for me, I need comforting!

Play with your new toys. If they don't work out, return them. What's the worst that can happen to you? A nuisance trip to the PO and some postage.

Looking at your gear choices above, the SL2 and MontBell down are excellent choices.
As for the Superfeet, don't use them unless you have a valid reason to. If your feet are fine, over compensating is not a good thing.
Not saying this will apply to you, but I had purchased Superfeet when I was a brand spanking newbie — thinking it was the thing to do. More feet protection over long hikes has got to be good, right? Well, on some trips, I experienced excruciating pain shooting up my legs, up to my knees. I can't say for sure that it's due to Superfeet. But ever since I ditched them, the pain never once came back.
I wear the insoles everyday. this just happened to be the weekend they finally bit the dust. My feet love em and no more shin splints.
You have the best reason for buying the Superfeet then. Even less to worry about now. :)

You bought very high quality gear that will last you a long time. Outdoor gear will provide you with a huge amount of joy and peace of mind compared to just about anything else you could buy (OK, so maybe it isn't the gear that provides the joy, but it facilitates it). So don't think of this as a big expensive purchase, but an investment in a very frugal and rewarding lifestyle which will lead to better physical and mental health.
You have chosen wisely. Fear not.
Just remember that 'didn't buy it' remorse (especially in the case of 'last one' or 'used' bargains) is way worse.
You should have buyer's remorse. It's easily remedied however.
Simple ship all of said items to me immediately. I'm sure you'll feel much better :D
Seriously, if you got good deals, and it equipment you're happy with in the long run, what's there to complain about? Think of it as an investment in future recreation.

Well, I wouldn't expect to find them at a thrift store, so there's not much else to do but watch the sales. If that's your entertainment or travel budget, you can amortize the tent over five years (for example) and you end up just spending $3.33 per month on a $200 tent. So, if you give up one latte a month, you're even!
There's something to be said for having a toy or travel budget and setting some small amount aside each week. $10 a week is $520 by the end of the year. Once you get a good kit together that should do well for upgrades and wear replacements.
