The application timeframe for Enchantment Permits for 2015 started and ended a year ago, as stated below from the USFS website:
"Enchantment Lottery Timeframes for 2015:
"Lottery Application Period Start Date/Time: February 15, 2014 @ 11:59 p.m. PST
"Lottery Application Period End Date/Time: March 3, 2014 @ 11:59 p.m. PST
"View lottery results: Log into your Recreation.gov account to view lottery results on/after March 6, 2015
"Accept/confirm your permit award between March 6 and April 1 (11:59 pm PST).
"All unclaimed lottery awards will be returned to the advance reservation system April 2."

Must be an error, or maybe not, or maybe a subtle hint of the future.
Lotteries held today,
for a permit years away,
are soon the only way,
to keep the mobs at bay.
It'll really be bad when trip permits become a part of estate planning, as in "who do I name as the beneficiary of my Enchantments permit?"
