Looks like you got your answer but just to confirm my 2014 is 8oz exactly.

My wife got me the large for Christmas. It was huge (I'm 6'1" about 190lbs). Returned for the medium. Which is tight at the waist but fits otherwise. Weighs 7.7 oz or 219 grams on my kitchen scale.

I'm 5' 11", 190# with broad shoulders. I wear size large tops in basically EVERYTHING (Arc'x, Marmot, Patagonia, etc), but I was nearly swimming in a size large MH Ghost hoody so I went with a size medium. It is a little tight in the shoulders, but fits nice (athletic) otherwise. I don't really have room for much other than a mid-weight base layer underneath, but that suits my style perfectly for my applications with this jacket. Nice puffy.

That's probably a safe plan. If you want to layer under the Ghost, go large, as you are.
